About

Conscious Program – aka Mark Thursby – has been producing various genres of electronic music and designing sound for 20 years.

He has been working in higher education for 15 years and lectures across all areas of music production and technology specialising in: foley, sound design, synthesis, studio recording, mixing, mastering and sequencing. He specialises in Native Instruments software, Logic Pro, Cubase, Pro Tools, Bitwig, Access virus, Fab Filter, iZotope and Xfer Records software.

Mark is also a guitarist and drummer and teaches most genres of guitar specialising in Jazz and Fusion up to grade 8. He can also teach music theory up to grade 8.

Conscious Program’s sound is best described as deep, rhythmical, experimental, electronic, hard-hitting, cinematic, bass-driven, neuro-inspired sound design. His ethos is to experiment and learn what music production software can do!

Sound Design for Theatre:
